January 14th class summary
Today in class we watched an HR movie about Pikes Fish Market in Seattle. The movie did a very good job of illustrating the difference in management styles and giving a great example of empowering your employees. We also organized ourselves into groups and talked about what we learned in chapter two. Our group discussed teamwork and how to create effective teams. We also looked at some HR slides showing managers' common areas of involvement as well as their potential pay levels. It was a good class
